What makes a deluxe porta potty different?
A deluxe porta potty adds four things a standard unit lacks: a foot-pump flush that rinses the bowl, an inside sink with soap and paper towels, a mirror, and usually a battery light. Guests get a cleaner-looking bowl and a place to wash without leaving the unit.
- Foot-pump flush with fresh water
- Foot-pump sink, soap and paper towels
- Mirror and coat hook
- Battery light for evening events
- Same footprint as a standard unit
For 100+ guests or a formal dress code, a restroom trailer is often a better fit. Planning a wedding? See wedding restroom options.

Deluxe porta potty questions
How many flushes does a deluxe flushing porta potty have?
A deluxe flushing porta potty's fresh-water tank gives about 250 to 300 flushes before refilling. That covers about 75 guests over a 5-hour event. Bigger crowds need more units or a restroom trailer.
Does a deluxe porta potty need water or power?
A deluxe flushing porta potty is fully self-contained. The flush and sink run on foot pumps from an onboard fresh-water tank, so no hose or outlet is needed.
Is a deluxe porta potty worth it for a backyard party?
A deluxe unit is worth it when guests are dressed up, kids and older relatives need a sink, or the party runs past dark. For a casual cookout, a standard unit with a hand-wash station costs less.
Can deluxe porta potties be used in winter?
Deluxe flushing units are rented April through October. Below freezing the water lines can freeze, so winter events use standard units with sanitizer or a heated restroom trailer.
